Cocktails That Keep Seasickness At Bay

Sipping cocktails on a yacht is the ultimate holiday experience! Getting that golden tan while lazing around on your yacht requires a tipple. Sure, you can crack open your 12-pack beer but a fancy yacht requires something swankier. Just one alcohol won’t cut it!

When consuming alcohol on a yacht, you don’t want to get too drunk. Motion sickness can get heightened due to alcohol in your system. You also don’t want a nasty hangover from the drinks you chug.

An important thing to consider is the color of the liquor being consumed. Light and dark drinks have the same amount of alcohol by volume, but the darker drinks are known to give a worse hangover.

Dark liquor contains chemicals called congeners. This chemical isn’t ever mentioned on the labels, but dark drinks can have up to have 20–24 congeners. The problem with congeners is that they break down into a toxic chemical called formaldehyde and formic acid.

Stick to lighter drinks when you aboard a yacht. You get the same alcohol but without nausea and a headache.

With all that being said, here are some fantastic cocktails that won’t make you regret your choice of drinks the next day!
