Beaches… the sandy shores… they extend from one end to another, with settling waves bowing to their superiority and the mighty sun gleaming on their rare-to-find tranquility. There is unique uniformity to them, orderliness of the highest order. That is, until you visit the beaches of Cabo San Lucas where every beach has its own beauty and unique persona. It’s where the general belief “beaches are alike” is contested and defeated; it’s where beach-diversity is actually a thing.
Welcome to Cabo San Lucas, the Center of Beach Diversity, and today we will take you on a tour to some of the most beautiful beaches in Cabo San Lucas, all very different… as different as cats and dogs!
Medano Beach
Also known as the Party Central, this beach offers the paradoxical solitude of the waves with the fun of the crowd. It’s a place, where all the action happens!
You can surf, swim, sunbathe, parasail, dance and even fly-board at the Medano Beach. No one’s stopping you. In fact, you have company.
The most convenient thing about this beach is – it’s accessible by car.
Lover’s Beach
If Medano is the epitome of fun and entertainment, then Lover’s Beach is literally the quite opposite of it; it’s a calm and serene sandy shore.
Secluded in the cradle of the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean, the Lover’s Beach is lined with huge rock formations.
Intimacy is in its air. It’s all love.
How to get to it?
You’ll need a boat or a kayak.
Divorce Beach
To be honest, there is nothing saddening about the Divorce Beach, so we are not really sure how this beach got its name. In fact, it’s more of a lover’s beach than the Lover Beach itself.
It’s symbolic sunset and rock formations provide perfect settings for a romantic getaway.
But hey, don’t ever try to swim here; the waves are vicious and ferocious. And there are no lifeguards to save you.
To reach it, you’ll need a water taxi!
Widow’s Beach
Widow’s Beach is one of the few surfing beaches in Cabo San Lucas and a perfect place for a family hangout.
There are tide pools to explore, inlets to visit and coves to stroll along.
It also provides a picturesque backdrop for a memorable family photo.
Getting to it, however, isn’t easy.
At the time of writing this post, there were some developments going on in the area making the beach hard to access. However, if you have a 4-wheel drive (you can also rent it from a local shop), then the task shouldn’t be too difficult for you.
That’s all, you ask?
No way! We have barely scratched the beaches here. There are so many more of them in Cabo San Lucas. But hey, we’re short on time and short on words, so for today, that’s pretty much all we have. Don’t worry though, we’ll be back because we just can’t resist the beach attractions of Cabo San Lucas.
Till then, good bye… and stay tuned!
