Triple Crown of Fishing

Triple Crown of Fishing

Also known as the “Cabo Summer Slam”, this tournament is organized every summer. With the entrance fee varying from $2500 for a general entry and $12,500 for All-In, you have a chance at winning the $200,000 prize money!

This team event is is all about catching Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin, Black Marlin, Sailfish, Dorado, Tuna, and Wahoo. The tournament is a fun event with cash and awards given out to participants. With a party and concert lined up for entrants to enjoy, this event will surely be a weekend to remember.

There are a few general rules to abide by:

There are four divisions namely the Billfish Release, Tuna, Dorado, and Wahoo. Prizes will be distributed on performance in catching the most billfish points or the highest total weight of two fish.

Registering before May can get you $500 off the tournament.

Stars and Stripes

The stars and stripes tournament is hosted at the exquisite Hilton Beach Resort in Cabo San Lucas. Located along the stunning Sea of Cortez, the resort is a popular tourist destination.

The tournament was established in 1996 and has grown every year. It has now become the largest fundraising event for the Big Brothers and Big Sisters organization. This organization was started to provide support to children facing adversity, to improve their lives.

This tournament also supports the local communities of the fishing village for their hospitality.

This event is a tournament experience to remember for a lifetime! With many activities on offer, there’s something fun for the whole family to enjoy.

Cabo Yacht World participates in this tournament as a way to showcase their skills and support the locals.

Bisbee’s East Cape Tournament

Held towards the end of the summer season, this event is a great practice session for another large scale tournament. It is hosted at the Hotel Buena Vista and is in its 19th year this year. Over 60 teams and 350 participants take part in this tournament every year.

This year the tournament is to be held between the 1st and 4th of August. The across the board entry is $22,500 with chance of winning hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Los Cabos Billfish Tournament

Scheduled for the 13th to 17th of October this year, the Los Cabos Billfish Tournament has been organized for the past 20 years. Most participants pay the All-In fees since it’s a better deal. Known to be the big-fish tournament, teams must compete to win the most points per pound. The winners and runners up are paid big cash prizes.

Bisbee’s Los Cabos Offshore

The Bisbee’s Los Cabos Offshore Tournament is designed for fun for the whole family. With events catering to all levels of anglers, everyone is on a level playfield. With the chance to win $500,000, this event is scheduled for the 18th of October this year. This tournament is comparatively affordable to be part of with $12,500 for ‘All In”.

Bisbee’s Black and Blue

This is the tournament everyone eagerly waits for each year. Happening on the 22nd of October, this event has paid millions in prizes to participants. With over 125 teams registering for the prize and experience each year, the organizers pay out a couple of millions to the winner—the larger the catch, the larger the prize money.

If you do plan on entering this event, you should know that it costs $71,000 for an “All-In” entry.
