Things to Pack for a Yacht Trip

For many people, luxury yacht trips are a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Because excitement levels are often through the roof, people tend to forget their essentials at home.

To make your yachting experience with Cabo Yacht World hassle-free, we have come up with a list of things you must pack for your trip. Continue reading this piece to find out where you should begin with your trip prep.

Cash, Card, and Other Documents

First things first: Your documents, credit and debit cards, and cash should be kept in a safe place at all times. Often, people leave these things for the last minute and then regret it when they can’t find them on time or forget it at home.

Bear in mind that keeping just your bank cards isn’t enough; not many small islands accept them, so keeping cash is crucial.  Similarly, identification cards and boat chartering paperwork is essential to pack.

Skin Prep with Sunscreens

While that tan is bound to look stunning on your skin, long exposure to the sun can be harmful. The best way to soak up the sun and get that beach bod on is by slathering yourself in hefty amounts of sunscreen. So, while you’re packing for your yacht trip, don’t forget your skincare and pack a tube of sunscreen.

In addition, bear in mind to put some aspirin and other OTC medicines in your first aid box. Usually, instant medical aid for minor injuries is available on board, but it’s better to be safe than sorry—pack your own first aid box!

Duffel up Appropriate Clothing

You might believe that you only need bikinis and shorts for your boat ride, but here you are mistaken. Once you have had a good long soak in the ocean or are done with your tanning session for the day, you’ll want to cover up and relax.

Your duffel bag must have breezy clothes if you’re taking the ride during summers—and formal ones too if you plan to dine out at a fancy restaurant on another island.

Last But Not Least: Ziploc Bags

You never know how high the waves are going to be and what havoc they may cause to your gadgets and other accessories. Keep waterproof Ziploc bags with you, and keep your phone and jewelry in them to protect them from water damage.
